Library News and Events
By Dawn Anderson
The Cedar Mill Library has opportunities for adults to get together monthly to discuss scrapbooking, books, writing, films and poetry. Meetings are held in the library's upstairs meeting room and are coordinated by volunteers. Newcomers always welcome! Free.
Next meeting: Sunday, 11/14, 2-4 pm. Work on your own projects as you socialize and learn from each other.
Owl Book Group
Next meeting: Friday, 11/19, 10:30 am. Join us for a great discussion. The book selection is Ghost Train to the Eastern Star by Paul Theroux.
Next meeting: Sunday, 11/21, 1-3 pm. Join this inspiring group of people who love to write.
Next showing: Wednesday, 11/24, 6:30 pm. This month's feature is "Only When I Dance," (UK, Brazil). All Film Club programs are free and open to the public. Selected films are not previewed and may contain objectionable material; therefore Film Club attendance is recommended for adults, aged 18 and over. Coffee, tea and popcorn are provided, and a lively discussion follows each film.
Voices in Verse
Everyone who loves poetry is invited to attend open mic poetry on Saturday, 11/27, 10 am. Come and read or just listen.
