Free Bike & Helmet inspections

The Washington County Bicycle Transportation Coalition gives free inspections and fittings every Saturday at the Cedar Mill Farmers’ Market, from 8am - 1pm on Cornell Road just west of Murray Road, in the Dollar Tree/Bandito Taco parking lot. Just bring your bikes in and let the experts take a thorough look, recommend repairs, and provide you with a discount coupon for repairs at local bike shops.

Highway 217 improvements meeting scheduled

Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) staff will be on hand to explain several options for increasing the capacity of Highway 217 during a public meeting to be held on July 19 at 7pm in the City Council chambers at Beaverton City Hall. OASIS Reading Tutor Program Seeks Senior Volunteers

Become an OASIS Intergenerational Tutor and help young children learn to read. Tutors work one-on-one for an hour with a student each week. (Flexible for vacations) OASIS places volunteers at Cedar Mill Elementary School. For more information please call Colleen, 503-833-3636

Be Water Smart

The Regional Water Consortium will sponsor a free “Be Water Smart” event July 23 from 11 am to 2 pm at Cornell Farms Nursery, 8212 SW Barnes Rd. A water conservation and nursery expert will be on hand to answer questions.
