Area residents needed for Saltzman project Focus Group

At a well-attended open house on July 19, residents got their first look at the Saltzman Road Improvement Project. Maps and charts explained the scope of the project, the expected timeline, and the steps to reach the final design. People were encouraged to discuss issues with representatives from the County and staff of David Evans and Associates who have been hired to do the engineering for the improvements.

The first phase of the project, including preliminary surveying and information gathering, will continue through Spring 2008. Final engineering Phase 1 & 2 and Right-of-way acquisition will continue through Fall 2008. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2009 and continue through Fall 2010. Three additional Open Houses will occur at further stages. Project information is available at deainc.com/saltzmanroad

A Project Focus Group is being formed to provide input to the Project Management Team. The Focus Group will be made up of representatives from the neighborhood, property owners, public agency staff and public interest groups. These people will be representing the community during the project. Applications are due by July 30.
