Indians, pioneers, loggers, farmers…Cedar Mill has the whole Oregon history story to tell! And you’ll get to see and hear those stories next month during the Cedar Mill Heritage Celebration on November 11 & 12, in the former AgLab space in the old Milltowner Center.
We have a wonderful collection of Cedar Mill historical photos that will be newly reprinted and on display, along with interesting items from our past, including a spinning wheel that belonged to one of JQA Young’s daughters, and the tiny pioneer Bible that belonged to John Quincy Adams Young himself! We’re still looking for more items to include. If you have anything that can help us tell the Cedar Mill History story, please let us know! We are interested in both loans and donations of items in use in the area prior to 1963: everything from farming, logging, and household items to advertising materials, journals, books, and other artifacts. In addition to the display, there will be entertainment, and folks dressed in period costumes telling some of our stories. Please contact us at cedarmillhistory@gmail.com if you'd like to help with the Celebration, or if you have items for the display.
