Fourth Annual DuFresne’s Coat DriveThe need has never been greater and it’s never been easier to make a difference in your community. Here is your opportunity to make sure that nobody goes without such a basic necessity as a coat for winter. DuFresne’s Auto Service is collecting new or clean and gently used coats and jackets during the month of November. All coats will be donated to the “Portland Rescue Mission.” Donors will receive $5 for the first coat donated and $2 for any others donated with a maximum of $50.
Nicoletta’s Caffé now open at OCACThe Oregon College of Art and Craft is very excited to announce that their popular on-campus restaurant has reopened as Nicoletta's Caffé. It will be the second location of Nicoletta's Table, a neighborhood trattoria and market located in Lake Oswego. The cafe will be open Monday-Friday, 8 am-3 pm and will serve breakfast and lunch. Nicoletta's specializes in authentic Italian food, and the menu will include coffee, sandwiches, pasta, pizza and salads!

Skyline Memorial Gardens Hosts Women’s Shelter Supply DriveThrough Dec. 31, Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd. Skyline Memorial Gardens is collecting items for the Salvation Army’s West Women’s and Children’s Shelter. This shelter provides opportunities for self-sufficiency to homeless and abused women and children through shelter and support services. Skyline Memorial makes a yearly commitment to collect supplies from October through December. To help support women and children recovering from domestic violence, please donate Target or Fred Meyer gift cards, new or gently used luggage, pens, paper, new day planners, bedding, household items, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, diapers, and wipes. Skyline Memorial Gardens will accept donations through December 31, drop off or call 503-292-6611 for pick-up. You’re also encouraged to bring donations to the November Art Hour, Nov. 11, 6-8 pm.

Nov. 3, 10, 17, 2-5 pm Walker’s scientific approach to color tackles the Munsell chart and color wheel systems, examines how the human eye perceives color and breaks down the behavior of light. Students can expect discussions and demonstrations on the interactions and harmonies within specific pigments, choosing paint brands and hues, identifying temperature relationships, asking correct questions to match a premixed color, and achieving both vibrant and subtle variations with simple palettes. Annie Salness: Building Fundamentals of Oil and Acrylic II, Thurs. Nov. 3, 10 and 27, 10 am-1 pm For intermediate students. Further focus on building the fundamentals of painting including drawing, value, composition and color. There will be several demonstrations, exercises and individual attention.
