At the Portland Housing Center, we believe everyone deserves access to homeownership. We make it possible through quality home buyer education, one-on-one guidance, financial services, and a variety of other resources to make homeownership a reality for Portland-area residents.
We've helped more than 6,000 families become successful, financially secure homeowners. We prepare you for the challenges, and guide you throughout the home-buying process. We offer mortgages with fixed interest rates, low down payments, and assistance with down payment and closing costs. Our classes are available in Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, and English.

Do you have down payment assistance available in Beaverton?
Yes! Portland Housing Center does have down payment assistance available to qualified households in Washington, Multnomah, and Clackamas counties, including the IDA Matched Savings Program and our Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) loan. Speak with your HomeBuying Specialist to learn more about these programs and if they might be a good fit for you.
We do not have income restrictions for our program. We only have income restrictions on the down payment assistance program, which varies depending on county and city.
Portland Housing Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1991 with support from the City of Portland, some local banks, and concerned citizens. We were founded to ensure all Portland residents had equal access to information and resources to achieve homeownership. We specialize in providing each of our home buyers with education, counseling, financial resources, and other home-buying support.
