Open Computer Labs

Drop by the library for help with computer skills, internet research, email, word processing, eBooks and eReaders. Adults only. No registration required. Cedar Mill's Open Computer Lab is Thursday afternoons, 3-5 pm in the upstairs meeting room. Bethany's Open Computer Lab is Thursday mornings, 9-10 am.

Library Board Meetings

The December Board Meeting has been cancelled. The board of directors will meet again on Tuesday, 1/21/14, 7pm.  The public is welcome to attend. To learn more about the board and the Library Association, contact Peter Leonard at (503) 644-0043 x110.

Libraries & Second Edition Closures

The Libraries & Second Edition will be closed on December 24 & 25 and January 1 (also closing early on December 31).

Oregon Battle of the Books: Practice! Registration open now

Oregon Battle of the Books is a statewide reading program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries.  OBOB celebrates a love of reading and supports good sportsmanship while motivating young people to broaden their reading experience and increase their reading comprehension.  Reader teams in third through twelfth grades compete in local and regional battles before moving on to the state tournament in March.

Practice sessions for book warriors in the first division (grades 3-5) will be held at the Cedar Mill Library on January 2 and 3. Registration required.
