The public is invited to cheer on teams of fourth through eighth graders as they practice their “Animal Allies” projects.

Local singer-songwriter and Portland’s official Ambassador of Song, Steve Hale, returns for a special Music on the Mezzanine performance. Steve and two other local singer-songwriters, Mark Bosnian and Amy Aldridge, present a holiday version of Songwriters in the Round. Steve promises one or two sing-alongs before wrapping up the evening. This event is free and open to all ages.

Bestselling author Molly Gloss is a fourth-generation Oregonian who lives in Portland. Her work has earned numerous awards, including an Oregon Book Award, a Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, the PEN West Fiction Prize, the James Tiptree Jr. Award, and a Whiting Writers Award. Come and meet Molly when she visits The Owls’ Book Club to discuss the group’s December selection, Jump-Off Creek. You don’t have to be a member of The Owls to attend.
