New businesses in Cedar Mill

Several new businesses have opened or are opening soon in the area. Here are a few of them.

Handels

Goodbye Dotty’s, hello Handel’s

The space just west of Safeway is being transformed into the second Handel’s Ice Cream store in Oregon. Franchise owner Tim Joyce says they’re planning to open the last week of June. Hours will be 11 am-10 pm daily.

The company was founded in 1945 in Ohio. Their homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt is made daily on the premises. The list of flavors is impressive!

Daisy Cleaners moves west

In case you wondered where your favorite cleaners was, they’ve just moved down the way in the Safeway center, and are now located next to the T-Mobile store. Same everything, new location.

Cork & Board

Billed as a “wine and sign” studio, this business promises a fun session creating a wooden sign for home or office décor. You sign up for a reservation for yourself and/or group, and they create the stencil that you will apply to your sign. Learn more on the website. They’re located on the other side of the T-Mobile store.

Five Flavor Café

Down the road in the Oak Hills center, Five Flavor has been open for about a month. They offer a variety of tea-based drinks, including bubble tea, fruity teas, and smoothies. All their flavorings are made fresh on the premises.

We’ll cover the new businesses that have opened in the “triangle” center at Saltzman and Cornell in an upcoming issue.
