Don’t miss a ‘beet’ at the Cedar Mill Farmers Market

Saturdays through October 13, 9 am-2 pm, NW corner of Cornell & Murray

The market has lots of fresh, seasonal produce and is a great place to connect with where your food comes from. Since it’s all local, the produce gets to fully ripen and then it is brought directly to you. No early picking, transporting and sitting in storage. It’s all fresh, all real and all true to the season. The colors are beautiful, and you can definitely “eat a RAINBOW” of nutritious fruits and vegetables.

Not only that, you can to talk with the farm stand workers (some are the actual farmers) and learn about the produce they bring. Nicolas & Norma are happy to talk about their varieties of peppers, or Tim about the berries he brings. You can talk with Jason about the peaches, or Will about corn. All are happy to talk with you about their wares (and they all have a variety of produce you can ask about).

By coming to the market, you not only support local family farms, but you also support small business. All of our vendors are from the area (some are even our neighbors) like Janel from Sugar Suds and Araceli from La Popular. For a couple vendors, this market is their first introduction into business, like Sara from Artemisia Bakery. Your support helps to make their dream turn into reality.

Craig Adams started OkiDoki to give an alternative opportunity to financially-challenged folks in the area. He supplies recycled billboard material and his workers make some very nifty and useful bags. The material won't stain, rip, tear or crack. Nor will it absorb water or odors. It won't stretch or shrink. Be sure to find them at the market. Carry your produce home in one!

AND don’t forget…the market is FUN! It can be a great meeting spot. There is music & food, neighbors & friends. There is a cool kids program, Power of Produce, that gets kids involved each week 10 am-1 pm. And don’t forget we accept credit, debit and EBT cards (we even do a SNAP Match up to $5).

Don’t miss out on the goodness! Join us!
