Mandarin Language Play Group

Thursdays, September 12-October 17, 10-10:45 am, Bethany Library Annex, 4888 NW Bethany Blvd Suite K-2, children ages 0-6 with their caregivers.

Speak to your child in the language you know best! Connect with other families who speak Mandarin as you read, play and socialize. This playgroup replaces the previously scheduled Mandarin Storytime.

Writers Mill

The Writers’ Mill is a group of writers from Cedar Mill and its environs. Award-winning Portland author Steve Zell will speak about the joys and tribulations of cross-genre writing. The submission window for our upcoming (multi-genre) anthology will close at the end of September. So join us September 15th for information and inspiration... to meet a great author... and maybe even to get published! New members are always welcome!

National Voter Registration Day

West Coast Hurricane: The Columbus Day Storm

Author and historian Sig Unander explores the causes of the “perfect storm” that struck the West Coast in October, 1962. He will also share personal stories of people who lived through it.
