Last chance for the MarketThe Cedar Mill Farmer’s Market is winding down, but you still have three opportunities to get some local fruit and veggies to can, preserve, freeze, or dry to see you through until its return next spring. The market will be open from 9-1:30 every Saturday until October 27, on NW Cornell Rd. just west of Murray. Most of the vegetables you’ve enjoyed throughout the summer will be available, as well as tasty apples and various winter squash. There will be a homemade salsa contest at the Oct 13 market, so bring in your entry (made from scratch) by 10 am for the community tasting/judging/voting. Winners will be announced at 1 pm. Finally, if you have any surplus school supplies please drop them off at the info booth. All new or gently used items donated will be delivered to Five Oaks Middle School. For details on what to bring, please visit us at cmfmarket.org. NEWS HOME |
