Sunset Credit Union announces pet photo contest winners

SophieDuring the month of September, to highlight their business account, Pet Barn, Sunset Credit Union held a pet photo contest. People brought in their cutest, funniest, and wackiest photos for the staff of Pet Barn to judge.

Marilyn Christensen, owner of Sophie was the first winner. Marilyn has been a member of the credit union for 24 years. Sophie is a Pomeranian. This photo was taken when she was six weeks old and weighed 15 ounces. Sophie’s favorite past time is gazing into Marilyn’s Koi Pond – something she’s been doing since she leaped into the pond when she was six weeks old. Her fascination for fish has not stopped. Sophie will be featured on special dog treats sold exclusively at Pet Barn. Stop by and pick up a bag.

catOur second winner is Pinky Lee, a five year old Domestic Short Hair cat owned by Karla Renne who has been a member of Sunset for 10 years. Pinky Lee spends her time jumping to the highest piece of furniture in the room and will always find a way to get there. Karla also says that Pinky Lee can’t eat a meal until she has rolled on her back and stared at Karla for a while. Karla received a gift basket from Pet Barn filled with cat toys and food.

Thanks to all who submitted their photos. It was tough to judge the winners, and we’re glad we didn’t have to make the final decision! Be sure to stop by Sunset Credit Union (1100NW Murray Blvd), Pet Barn or Muttley Crew (806 NW Murray Blvd.) to pick up your free reflector pet identification tag.
