November is National Homeless and Hunger Awareness Month

On behalf of our homeless students in the Beaverton School District the BSD HELP Center invites you to participate in a 30-Day Homeless Awareness Challenge. Through this journey you will learn about services for homeless children and families in our community and discover where the gap areas of need are. Our hope is that this activity will challenge and inspire our community to change, as no child should ever be without shelter.

To participate in the 30-Day Homeless Awareness Challenge please download the attachment, read the instructions and begin. It's that easy! Please feel free to share this activity with your Faith Community, Organization, Co-Workers, Family and Friends.

It is important to note that our student referrals have increased significantly from last year, and are currently where they were at the peak of the recession. Due to the housing crisis our referrals have almost double from where they were last year on the same date of November 3, 2015.

Please consider joining our call to action by helping to raise awareness of this serious issue for so many of our students. Together we can create change!
