Much Ado About Nothing at SunsetFridays & Saturdays, November 15-16 & 22-23, 7 pm, Sunset High Auditorium Under the direction of James Farmer, Sunset Theatre will present a fresh and modern take on Shakespeare’s classic comedic masterpiece, now set in modern day Italy. Much Ado About Nothing interweaves the story of two couples and delivers a rich blend of life’s relationships, folly, and deception throughout. The audience will enjoy the show’s many comedic elements, such as the hilarious battle of the sexes between headstrong Beatrice (Isabelle Packham) and Benedick (Declan Fooks), the romantic suffering of young Hero (Annika Zomerman) and Claudio (Ricardo Guevara), good hearted scheming by the esteemed Don Pedro (Jack Talbott), the bawdy but well intentioned Margaret (Emma Gibson), and the loyal handmaid Ursula (Annala Swafford). All of this is rounded out by the hilarious farcical speeches of Constable Dogberry (Cole Friend), his bumbling watchmen, and the none-too-bright Lieutenant Verges (Dylan Calton).
