"Your Library Brings You the World!"
The library’s third annual Winter Reading & Arts Festival continues. All programs are free and will be held in the Cedar Mill Community Library’s upstairs meeting room. Visit the library or call 503-644-0043 ext. 114 to register for Registration Required (RR) programs.
Three years ago the first Winter Reading & Arts Festival was sponsored by a Community Cultural Participation grant from the Washington County Arts, Heritage and Humanities Coalition through funding from the Oregon Cultural Trust. Due to the positive response from the community the Cedar Mill Community Library Association decided to continue the festival.
As in previous years the Festival combines literature and reading enjoyment with programs by local artists and performers that reflect the multicultural dimensions of Cedar Mill and Bethany.
The goal of the Festival is to enhance cultural learning experiences and build awareness of the impact that arts, heritage and humanities have on our community's quality of life, sense of place, and community identity.
