Peterkort development neighborhood meeting April 17

Tuesday, April 17, 7-8 pm, Cedar Hills Rec. Center, Room C-1, 11640 SW Park Way

David Evans & Associates is representing LTF Real Estate Co, Inc., the real estate arm of Life-Time, which is considering a proposal to develop a new full-service athletic and recreation center on the northeast corner of Cedar Hills Blvd. and Barnes Rd.

The company has facilities around the US, but this would apparently be their first Oregon club. If it is built, if would include a three-story fitness center, an outdoor pool area, a sports center with two soccer fields, a tennis facility, and a multi-level parking structure.

A seven-unit development is proposed for 560

Peterkort Co. annexed all their properties into the City of Beaverton, which will handle the development review and approval process. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning about the proposal.

Dale townhomes

A Neighborhood meeting was held in late March for a proposed seven-lot attached townhome subdivision at 560 NW Dale. Mark Dane Planning is representing the owners of the property. This property and surrounding lots are zoned TO 24-40, meaning 24-40 units in a transit-oriented area.

119th St. Subdivision

After a lively neighborhood meeting last August for a proposed housing development on vacant land between 119th and 113th south of Lovejoy, things seemed to stall when neighbors were told that the developer wasn’t going forward with the plan.

There was some speculation that the property might be acquired by the park district, but that didn’t go anywhere. Recently a development application was submitted to the county by Westlake Consultants for a 47-lot subdivision. Access to the new homes will be a connection to the stub of 116th south of Lovejoy, and secondary access will be from Kearney.

The Public Notice hasn’t been sent by the county at this time. Once that is published, there will be a public comment period before the development is approved.

One interesting item in the application is an inclusion from THPRD that there is a proposed trail at the west end of the property. It appears to run through “Tract A” which is a natural area that will be undeveloped. However, the application says nothing about dedicating space for the trail.

The application is in the Community Notice section of the Cedar Mill Community Library. Ask a librarian to help you find it if you don’t see it.
