Cedar Hills Shopping Center annexing into BeavertonTuesday, June 4, 6:30 pm, Beaverton Council Chambers, 12725 SW Millikan Way Beaverton City Council will consider a proposal to amend the Beaverton Comprehensive Plan to apply the city’s Station Community Multiple Use (SC MU) zoning to the properties that comprise the Cedar Hils Shopping Center near the intersection of US 26 and Highway 217. The property owner has requested to be annexed to the city. We had heard rumors that the center would be demolished for mixed-use that would include housing. The SC MU zoning would allow that. The council will hear the petition for annexation and also have the first reading of the Ordinance to apply the new zoning. A second reading and decision is scheduled for June 11. The application and supporting documents will be available on Beaverton’s website here, on or after May 28.
