Cedar Mill Cider Festival 2017

Sun., Oct. 15, 1-4 pm, JQA Young House, 12050 NW Cornell

Mark your calendar now for Cedar Mill’s biggest celebration of the year. Music, food, and fresh free cider!

Boy scouts making cider

There’s fun for all ages at this annual event. Watch the Boy Scouts of Troop 208 as they turn fresh apples into cider using antique presses. Free cups of cider for all! Enjoy lunch served up by local Retrolicious food cart folks—they’re promising bbq AND fried chicken!

Learn more about Cedar Mill history in the expanded History Tent, with exhibits and volunteers on hand to share stories of the early days of our community. Be sure to bring your elder friends, neighbors, and relatives to visit and reminisce.

Enjoy the toe-tapping Bluegrass / Americana tunes of Lauren Sheehan and her band. Browse our Country Store vendors to find something handmade and special for yourself, or get a jump on holiday shopping. Meet folks from a variety of local service providers, agencies, and companies in the Community Partner Lane.

The event is sponsored by Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District. They will bring their RecMobile with games and activities for kids. And they provide all the infrastructure for the event—tables, canopies, generators, porta-potties and more. Thanks THPRD for supporting our community!

At 2 pm, Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District will conduct a brief dedication ceremony to honor Sue Conger, a tireless advocate for the community, who was instrumental in saving the John Quincy Adams Young house for posterity. The boardwalk leading to an overlook of Cedar Mill Falls, which was constructed by Polygon in lieu of System Development Charges related to the Timberland development, was transferred to THPRD last year. We look forward to honoring Sue and celebrating this wonderful addition to our enjoyment of the falls and creek.

Plenty of free parking in the Cedar Mill Bible Church lot. TriMet lines 62 Murray & 48 Cornell will bring you right to the event.
