Intersection nears completionThe intersection improvements at the corner of Cedar Hills Boulevard and Barnes Road are finally back on track after a short delay rumored to be caused by delays in the manufacture of the signal poles. The improvements are being done by Polygon Homes, builders of the Timberland housing development on the former Teufel Nursery property on Cornell. Polygon spokesperson Liz Holland says that the project should be completed in April. She says we may see some “temporary lane closures for paving or putting down stripes but that would only be between the hours of 9-3,” so it shouldn’t even disturb your commute. Improvements include an additional right-turn lane on westbound Barnes, a new right-turn lane on eastbound Barnes, and some widening in anticipation of an additional through lane on westbound Barnes.
