CMBA Meeting Notes
|
CMBA board members and guests celebrate the opening of Poppa's Haven |
Members were informed of new plans for ribbon cutting ceremonies for local businesses. Our first ceremony was held Saturday, February 21st, to welcome Poppa’s Haven Coffee Shop at 800 NW Murray Blvd. We will hold ribbon cuttings for new businesses and established businesses at the request of the business owners. Becky Jarvis and Sandy Sahagian will be the contact people for the ribbon cutting events.
Tim Kober, Certified Financial Planner, presented a very informative lecture on helping clients find your business on the internet. He gave several easy fixes to improve websites so that they are more easily found through a Google search. Rebecca Guyot shared information about her business, The Harmony School, for the Ten Minutes of Fame segment.
The March CMBA meeting will be at Cedar Mill’s Leedy Grange, 835 NW Saltzman, on March 10 at 11:45 for free pizza and networking, with the business meeting and program starting at noon. Doreen Rivera of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will speak on check and credit card fraud. The Ten Minutes of Fame presenter will be Geoff Creighton, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones. Join us and bring along a business card, and you could be next!
