Blooms for Books! The second annual Cedar Mill Community Library Plant Sale will be on Saturday, May 5 from 10 am-2 pm in front of the library, located at the intersection of Cornell and Murray. Beautify your yard, save some money, and help the library all at the same time! The library is once again taking pre-orders. Stop by the library
for an order form or visit cedarmill.org/library/CMCLA/ Also, this year, the library is working with Pumpkin Ridge Gardens. They will have herbs and unusual vegetable starts for sale on pick-up day, May 5. Returning to help support the library is Cori Bacher, library volunteer and gardener who will be offering potted perennials for sale with 100% of the proceeds to the library. Cori will be on hand to answer any gardening related questions you may have. While you are here picking up your plants, be sure to look at the gardening books for sale and also plan to visit the Village Gallery, Second Edition and Tilly’s Gelato. The Village Gallery will have garden themed arts and crafts: concrete leaves, plant stakes, mobiles, and floral paintings. A portion of the art sales will benefit the library. Artists will also offer face painting for children. Second Edition will have gardening supplies, decor, pots and clothing. Present our Tilly’s flyer (available at the library) when you purchase food and beverages on that day and Tilly’s will donate a portion to the library. This event is organized by library volunteers. Proceeds will benefit the operations of your community library. If you would like to contribute plants or help, please email Gloria Lee, Board Member and sale coordinator at glee@portlandchinesegardens.org or call Dawn at 503-644-0043 x 121.
