Cornell Urgent Care clinic will serve broad patient baseAn emergency room board-certified physician with nearly 15 years of experience will open an Urgent Care clinic in the Cornell Shops building at Dale and Cornell. Dr. Sejung Shin says the clinic will be equipped with X-ray equipment and labs, and will be able to take care of minor fractures, lacerations, pneumonia, infections and other medical problems. “I will also offer physical exams for school athletics and employment. I will be able to take care of most medical problems excluding major medical problems such as heart attacks, stroke, or surgical problems such as appendicitis.” Good news for the uninsured—Dr. Shin will see uninsured/self-pay patients and will offer a 20% discount for cash. Dr. Shin says the hours will be Monday-Friday 8 am to 8 pm , and Saturday 9 am-3 pm. He anticipates that the clinic will open in September.
