Bales Thriftway names new director

Bales Marketplace has a new Store Director. George Emerson was the former store director at the West Linn Bales Marketplace, and has been with the company for over 20 years. He replaces Butch Turner. We’ll find out more about him next month.

Stockton goes east, McCabe steps in

Dr. Lauren McCabe, DC, has taken over Cedar Mill Chiropractic Clinic at 13321 NW Cornell from Dr. Jordan Stockton who has relocated to the East Coast.

Dr. McCabe continues the tradition of providing high quality, friendly, affordable chiropractic care coupled with massage therapy and extensive rehabilitation services. New services that Dr. McCabe brings to the clinic and the Cedar Mill community are functional foot orthotic supports, nutritional counseling, and a wide range of nutritional supplements to address pain and other chronic health issues. The financial services firm Edward Jones again was named the Number One full-service brokerage firm in the August edition of SmnartMoney magazine, according to Denny Dolson, a financial advisor in Portland. The firm placed ahead of six other firms and received high marks in the four categories surveyed by the magazine: stock picking, customer satisfaction, trust and customer statements.

WiFi Hotspot now at Safeway

If you’ve ever envied those downtown folks who sit around in coffee shops reading their email, wish no more, you can do it right here in Cedar Mill.

Safeway has installed WiFi in its Cornell Road store, and it’s available in all seating areas within the store. Just bring in your WiFi-enabled device (802.11b/g) and set your network identifier to “safewaywifi”and launch your browser. You’ll be redirected to a log-in portal.
