Breaking NewsAccountant robbed at gunpointCedar Mill accountant Alan Levine was robbed on Thursday, October 2, in his office in the Milltowner Center at 12505 NW Cornell Rd. The robbery took place around noon. The robber walked into the office and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at Levine and told him, " You have ten seconds to give me your wallet." When Levine didn't respond immediately, the robber repeated his demand and Levine gave him his wallet. The man left the office and was next seen driving a pickup truck at high speed through the parking lot of the Methodist Church on Dogwood. Someone in the parking lot was able to record a license plate number, but the truck left the scene. Apparently someone was nearly struck by the truck and the sheriff's office would like to speak to that person. Sometime later the wallet was found on or near Cornelius Pass Road. The cash, approximately $200, was missing but Levine's ID and other items were in the wallet. Levine said that he cancelled all the credit cards and other accounts that had been in the wallet, because of the possibility of ID theft. Levine said the man was black, about 5'10" and 200 lbs. "I was looking more at the gun than I was at his face," he said, "so I couldn't give them a really good description of the man." He was shaken up but was back at work on Monday.
From Sgt. David Thompson A man entered the CPA's office with a silver handgun displayed, he demanded the wallet of one of the employees in the office. The wallet was given to the suspect and he fled the scene. He is described as a black male, 5'10, 200 pounds with short black hair. He was seen fleeing the area in a red pickup truck. The wallet was later found by a citizen on Cornelius Pass Road just off Highway 26, the cash was missing from it.
