Current Activities

This project is almost complete. The final lift pavement has been installed and the contractor is waiting for dry weather to stripe. Landscape and other "punchlist" items will follow.

Scope

This project has been combined with the Cornell Road/143rd to Science Park Drive project. All together the project cost will be $13 million. Funding comes from MSTIP 3b/3c, State Economic Development Grant and Traffic Impact Fees (TIF). The project will reconstruct the intersection at Cornell Rd / Murray and will widen Murray Boulevard north of Highway 26 (Sunset Highway) to four lanes, with turn lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks, and landscaping. Turn lanes will also be added to Cornell Road including a new traffic signal at Cornell/Science Park Dr. Bike lanes, sidewalks, illumination and landscaping will be included.
