Summary of Event:
Tonight the Dollar Tree store located at NW Murray Boulevard and NW Cornell Road was robbed at gunpoint by a white male suspect in his mid thirties. Richards Deli, located at SW !85th Avenue and SW Farmington Road, was robbed about three hours later by a suspect who matched the description in the first robbery. No one was injured in either robbery; the suspect is still at large.

Details of Event:
On Saturday, January 03, 2009, at about 5:20 pm a suspect approached a female employee inside the Dollar Tree store, located at 13575 SW Cornell Road in unincorporated Washington County, and demanded that she give him the cash in the store. She complied with him and when he left she called 911.

When deputies arrived at the store the employee told them that the man had pointed a gun at her during the robbery and made her go to the back room and retrieve the money from the manager's office. The woman was not hurt during the robbery. The suspect got away with about $300 in cash.

The employee described the suspect as a white male adult in his mid 30's, with a thin build, he was wearing a dark-blue wind breaker, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, an over sized dark-colored baseball cap with a red stripe, the hat was pulled down to his eyes. The clerk said the man was about 5'10" or 6'00" tall, he had a gruff voice, blue or hazel eyes, and a scruffy beard. She said the gun he carried was had a black and silver handle.

Over three hours later at 8:53 pm Deputies were called to Richards Deli, located at 6041 SW 185th Avenue in Aloha, were another robbery was reported. In that case the suspect brought a Keno ticket to the counter and then told the clerk that he wanted all the money. He displayed a hand gun with a black and silver handle. The clerk complied and gave the suspect several hundred dollars in cash.

The female clerk described the suspect almost the same as in the first robbery. In this case the establishment had video surveillance. Still photos of the suspect that were taken from the video are included in this release.
