Sentinel Pole scorched, arson investigation continues

The focus of Cedar Mill’s newest public space, the Sentinel Pole in the Plaza at the corner of Cornell and Cedar Hills Boulevard, was set on fire at around 10:30 pm Saturday, August 23, 2003. Several people called 911 to report the fire, which was quickly put out by a crew from Station 60 (near Cornell and Miller).

Rock Creek Watershed Partners

Geologically speaking, Cedar Mill lies on the lower slopes of the Tualatin Hills. Our area is drained by Cedar Mill Creek and several others, all of which are part of the Rock Creek watershed, which joins the Tualatin River at Rood Bridge in Hillsboro.

Hi-School Pharmacy sold to Walgreens

Our old familiar Hi-School Pharmacy, in the Milltowner Shopping Center at the northeast corner of Saltzman and Cornell, will become a shiny new Walgreens, “sometime during the second quarter of 2004,”according to Steve Oliva, president and CEO of the Hi-School Pharmacy chain. The sale was announced on August 26. .
