Town Hall meetings scheduled
Our State Representative Mitch Greenlick and
our State Senator Brad Avakian will hold two town halls in April. The
first will be on Tuesday, April 10, 7 pm, in the St. Vincent Medical Center’s
Souther Auditorium. The second will take place on Thursday, April 19,
7 pm, at Friendly House, 1737 NW 26th at Thurman.
These Town Hall meetings are a good opportunity to
get to know your state legislators, find out from them about current legislation,
and let them know what issues are on your mind that the Oregon Legislature
could affect. |
Faced with limitations to expanding our transportation infrastructure,
the Oregon Department of Transportation [ODOT], Metro, TriMet, City of
Vancouver and other public and private partners launched the Drive Less/Save
More Campaign in February 2006. This unique effort seeks to reduce single-person
car trips as part of a larger solution to regional traffic congestion.
