Lois D. Ditmars, age 93, of Cornelius, Oregon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. She was the President of J. Peterkort & Co. that oversees the development of the family’s land around the intersection of Cedar Hills Boulevard and Barnes Road, and also the office buildings west of St. Vincent’s Hospital. 

From the family obituary: “The youngest daughter of Joe and Bertha Peterkort, Lois lived a life marked by dedication to her family, a passion for real estate development, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Her love of geology fueled her curiosity and inspired countless journeys around the world, which she shared with her cherished sister.

“Lois was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, and her son in 2011. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and took immense pride in.

“A service and reception to celebrate Lois’s remarkable life was held on November 12, 2024.”
