How does our power grid work?

Electricity provides the energy for many of our daily activities—from each flick of a light switch to charging our devices, we rely on the power grid to live efficiently. Portland General Electric (PGE) is the electricity provider for Cedar Mill, and through their chain model of infrastructure, they ensure that we have consistent access to power.

Art World School was established as Jiao Ying School in 1997 by artist Jiao Ying. It was previously located in downtown Portland and Tigard, and the new location in the Bethany area was established in 2018.

In the days before the pandemic, people met in coffee houses, meeting rooms, and living rooms to share ideas and learn from each other. But even though COVID-19 changed the location of those gatherings, it didn’t stop people from coming together.
