• Our heritage trees: In the iconic 1905 photo of the JQA Young House on Cornell, you can see a pear tree with a ladder leaning against it. That tree has survived along with its neighboring apple tree, but both of them were in bad shape.

We have been publicizing recycling events at Sunset High School for several months, and we got curious to learn more about one of the students behind this great community service.

That’s how I felt as donations came rolling in from my plea for a new computer and software! I created a “GoFundMe” last month and posted it to the Cedar Mill News Facebook page the night before we went to print, just to see what would happen, and by morning there were several hundred dollars already.
