Through May, Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) is replacing and upgrading about 800 feet of current 2-, 6-, and 8-inch main beneath NW Westlawn Terrace, from NW 128th Avenue to NW 131st Avenue, with a brand-new 8-inch ductile iron main, and installing a new water pressure regulator valve in an underground concrete vault in the public right-of-way southwest of the intersection of 128th Avenue and Westlawn Terrace. Work will take place Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5 pm.

Mains are underground pipes that carry treated water to your home or business. A pressure regulator controls the water pressure as it moves from the main into the neighborhood. An access vault protects the pressure regulator and other equipment.

During the project, expect restricted parking, temporary lane closures and detours, impacts to bike and foot travel, temporary water service interruptions (impacted customers will be notified in advance), large equipment, including front loaders, excavators, and dump trucks, continued access for mail, delivery, and garbage services, and a drone capturing images and videos of progress. Permanent paving will occur later in 2025 when weather conditions allow. Learn more here.
