A reader and neighbor of the Kirkland plaza development spoke to the job supervisor recently and reports this:

The financial situation has been worked out. The hotel will be an “EVEN” hotel similar to one in Eugene. The upper floors are complete including carpeting. They are waiting on electrical and elevator contractors. The parking lot at the southwest corner will be finished soon. 

The hotel may be open for business in as soon as three months. We have reached out to IHG corporation, the owner of the EVEN chain, for more information.
