Alaska Airlines door lands in Cedar Mill

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined the approximate area to search for the missing door by calculating the plane’s altitude, air speed, and wind at the time of the event. 
NTSB investigators check the location where one of the passenger’s cellphones was found on Barnes in Cedar Mill. Another was found in the West Haven neighborhood, near where the airplane door was found. 

We sent some questions to the NTSB but didn’t hear back in time for the February issue. We’ll bring you more information next month if it is available
