Ordinance No. 865: Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) Expansion Areas
This ordinance would amend the Comprehensive Framework Plan for the Urban Area (CFP), the Rural/Natural Resource Plan (RNRP), the Aloha–Reedville–Cooper Mountain Community Plan, the Bull Mountain Community Plan, the East Hillsboro Community Plan and the West Union Community Plan to address the approval by Metro Council and subsequent acknowledgement by the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) to expand the urban growth boundary (UGB) in four locations in Washington County.
The first public comment opportunity is 1:30 pm August 5 before the Planning Commission(PC). The second public hearing is 10 a.m. September 1 before the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
Ordinance No. 866: Minor Amendments
This ordinance proposes minor updates, corrections and revisions to Washington County’s Comprehensive Framework Plan for the Urban Area (CFP), Bethany Community Plan, and Community Development Code (CDC).
The first public comment opportunity is 1:30 pm August 5 before the PC. The second public hearing is 10 a.m. September 1 before the Board.
Ordinance No. 867 Safe Parking
This ordinance would amend the Community Development Code (CDC) to allow religious institution sites and other properties in certain urban nonresidential land use districts to offer space where homeless persons can temporarily live in vehicles, subject to participation in a program designed to transition them to stable housing.
The first public comment opportunity is 1:30 pm August 5 before the PC. The second public hearing is 10 a.m. September 1 before the Board.
Ordinance No. 868 Tektronix Development agreement
This ordinance would update the Development Agreement between Beaverton LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tektronix, Inc, and Washington County.
The first public comment opportunity is 6:30 pm August 19 before the PC. The second public hearing is 10 a.m. September 15 before the Board.
Ordinance No. 869 Significant Natural Resources
This ordinance would amend the Community Development Code (CDC) related to significant natural resources in the development review process, adopt clear and objective standards for tree preservation and removal requirements within significant natural resource areas and allow protected habitat areas to meet open space requirements in planned developments.
The first public comment opportunity is 6:30 pm August 19 before the PC. The second public hearing is 10 a.m. September 15 before the Board.
Ordinance adoption
Ordinance No. 864 was adopted July 21 by the Board of Commissioners and is now available on the 2020 Land Use Ordinances webpage.
Adopted Ordinance No. 864: Breweries and Cideries
Amends the CDC to address changes in state law that the County must implement to allow cider businesses and farm breweries and associated activities in exclusive farm use districts (EFU and AF-20). The ordinance also makes minor amendments to accommodate the added uses.
