CPO News December 2022
December meeting:
Beaverton Education Foundation;
State Senator Elizabeth Steiner
Tuesday, December 13, 7-9 pm, via zoom
After the Land Acknowledgement and updates from our service providers, we’ll share any development information we have received and provide time for announcements.
Around 7:30 we’ll hear from Sarah Beachy, Community Partner Coordinator, about the BEF. The Beaverton Education Foundation raises money to provide hands-on, innovative, academic programs and projects. These innovations go beyond normal school funding to ensure students have an opportunity to learn, thrive and reach their highest potential. Sarah Beachy will join us to describe some local projects that need support, and how we can be more involved.
At 8:10, Senator Elizabeth Steiner will visit to report on Oregon’s reproductive freedom protection and more. Senator Steiner will discuss her work with the Reproductive Health and Access to Care workgroup this summer. Additionally, she was involved with SJR 12 which became Measure 111 (Guaranteed Healthcare for all Oregonians) that was passed during the November election. She will discuss the history and implementation of that measure.
Click the zoom link to join the meeting live or watch it later on our YouTube Channel. We have been live-streaming our meetings since before COVID. Like or follow our Facebook page for timely announcements of interest to all our neighbors in CPO 1 (Cedar Mill, Cedar Hills, Bonny Slope). We’re going to explore resuming in-person meetings after the first of the year, but we’ll continue to stream them live and record for later viewing. We think our content is too good to only share it with those who can attend on a weeknight!
