Park News December 2022

Winter Registration is Here!

Saturday, December 3, 8 am for in-district; Monday, December 5, 8 am for out-of-district

You can register online at thprd.org/portal. The fastest, easiest way to register is online. Walk-in registration is available at all THPRD facilities or by phone at 503-439-9400. Winter registration covers classes from January-April 2023.

Financial Aid is Available: THPRD offers financial assistance to people to help offset the expense of registering for classes. Households whose income fall below the Federal Free Meal Guidelines can receive up to $200 per person annually in fee waivers. For a family of four, this would result in having $800 per year to register for THPRD programming. To learn more and apply for financial aid, please visit thprd.org/activities/financial-aid.

Holiday Gift Card Drive Underway

Now through December 8

Once again THPRD is partnering with the Beaverton School District (BSD) to support BSD students and families in need. THPRD will collect gift cards for grocery stores, local merchants, and larger retailers, to donate to BSD families. Suggested donation amounts for the gift cards are: $5, $10, $25, or $50. Please bring your gift card to one of our facilities by December 8. Let’s work together to share a wonderful holiday season with the community this year!

Winter Break Camps

Letters to Santa

Let Santa Claus know how good you’ve been this year! Write a letter to Santa and drop it in any one of Santa’s Mailboxes throughout THPRD and we’ll deliver your letter to the North Pole! Santa’s Mailboxes will be available now at all Centers through mid-December. Please be sure to share your name and return address—and Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick will respond!
